After A class discussion and getting feedback about my ideas i think i would like to change the way I want to do this project. I think it would be nice to do a Study of Movement. I was thinking of maybe some photographs with cars and bicycles. I w...

Weekly Critique

I think this picture is really tense. The sheep staring right at the viewer gives a really tense feeling. It makes the viewer feel almost like he/she is about to be trampled by sheep and should be looking at the picture. In terms of composition however, I think this picture is really strong. There seems to be various different clips on the ears of the sheep and they provide almost like s… Continue

I think this picture is one of the best examples of contrast I have ever seen. The bright yellow is really obvious against the black background and the green bud also really stands out against the yellow petals. The flower almost makes you feel like you are miniature in comparison to the flower.I also think the black things in between the yellow and the green is really important composit… Continue

Flikr Critique #4

I think this picture has an amazing sense of line and direction. Every single thing in the frame seems to lead towards the top left. Other than the obvious tracks and the phone lines, the wood in the middle right also acts sort of like a barrier for your eyes. As your sees move towards it, it stops it and directs it towards the tracks. Same with the trees. The sudden growth of trees is r… Continue

Weekly Critique #3

This picture is truly amazing. There is a very strong. The buildings towards the front, even though relatively small, the viewer knows to be small. The massive Empire State in sort of the middle of the Depth of the picture, is huge and is therefore rather large in the picture. This picture also follows the rule of thirds. The Empire State in the middle and the main focus, the lights on the t… Continue

I can't get the picture to come up for some reason, its on the link above.

I think this picture on Flikr is more than amazing. It has great harmony. The lights on the left move your eyes around the page well and the black post-thing on the right is a nice attraction for the eyes. The picture therefore, has great movement. I honestly also think the picture has nice balance. The dark colored post seems heavy and balances out the lighter building. I also like the fact that it is taken (or edited) in black and white. I think it makes the picture a lot more simpler and less complex without changing the composition.
