Thanks Katrina, do you mean that you uploaded them to your flickr account? Or to here? I need a link or a location so I know where to look for them.

Weekly Post #8

This photo may seem very simple and almost a bit cliche - the old black and white and a sudden splash of red. However, I think many things make this photo work and stands out. The rain creates a wet pavement, reflection type look to the street, and the dirt along the white lines of the crosswalk really adds interesting elements to this photo. Weekly Post #7

This photo relates well to my project, and it really emphasizes the importance of having a good composition for a contre jour photograph. It also shows what a key role color can play. This photo really shows the meaning of a different perspective on something that is seemingly ordinary. First off, the yellow dominates the photograph and the rest of the colors are all dull, close to neutral colors. Of course, the viewpoint in which the photograph is shot is also very interesting. It almost seems like the cars are attacking and they are almost going to run you over. The fact that it was rainin… Continue

Ansel Adams and "~Fernando" (Flickr user) are two photographers that inspire me. Ansel Adams is especially well-known for his landscape photography, and what I really enjoy about his photos is the magnificence of mother nature that he embodies in his photographs despite the fact that they are black and white. "~Fernando has a range of photography with some landscape that is reminiscent of Adam's photography. However, what really inspires me is the way he can photograph the same subject in many d… Continue

Week 5 Post

This picture has a high contrast, yet it only has a few main colors such as blue, gray, and green. The sturdy and aged stone steps and vines is really different from the vibrant young girl who has a very dramatic pose. The color and expression/posture of the girl really sets the carefree mood for the picture. The blue on her shirt also matches with the blue in the sky, yet it still stands out. The movement exud… Continue
