This picture of the two boats is quite interesting. First, the perspective is very interesting in the middle of the two boats is a dock going into the distance making you look straight down the middle and at the boats. Next, the color in the pic is quite vivid making it a striking picture. The dark blue boats, and the light blue water and sky go well, with the orangish brown dock. Then the boats, both have symmetry except for some of the colors on the boat's exterior but it sill is symmetrical making the photo more interesting. Then the fact the boats are parked in line together makes you look at around that area and keeps you looking around these photos.

I agree. I think the boats have great symmetry but the picture overall isn't the best. The civilization towards the right really throw the picture off balance for me. Furthermore, the boat to the right is a little closer, making the right side of the picture even heavier.

Yeah, I like the symmetry, the similarity of the two boats and the perspective going on in this picture. However, i do think that it kind of looks too perfect and the house at the background keeps dragging my eyes off the page. Also, the vanishing point might be a bit too centered and that might hurt the composition, but a least the two boats creating repetition partially rectifies the composition.
