What really stuns me at the first glance in this image is how clear and detailed it is. I think this is very hard to accomplish for I have tried to take split second images of water droplets and it was challenging to simply get the image of the flying droplets, leave alone having good background and color and composition. Color and contrast found in this picture is one of the elements that makes it so amazing. The white background allows the orange color to easily stand out and create contrast. Allows, the orange conveys a message to the viewer and that is a feeling of happiness and jolliness. The reflections on the glass are very well placed and aids in the development of an excellent composition. The reflections also help create texture and that is a very slippery and smooth feeling. There is repetition found in the image and that is the multiple oranges found inside the glass of water. The light coming through the water creates a very adequate lighting situation in which details are well highlighted and sensation of purity and cleanliness is stressed. The splash adds a large amount of interest to the picture for it includes other types of lines in the image while at the same time, it creates much needed motion.

The oranges look really good, and the water looks so clean and pure. I also really like the fact how the photographer only used a few colors yet he still managed to create a very interesting shot. Most people would not find oranges submerged in a wine glass to be very captivating, yet the composition and splash adds the "wow-factor" to the photograph. However, I think the orange peel on the side of the glass could be taken out; personally I think it is a bit distracting.
