A Network for Student Photographers

The photographers I chose for the independent project are Matthew Sullivan (a professional) and "Hussain Shah." (an amateur on Flickr). Sullivan is known best for his work with HDR photos. Some of his work examples -

As you can see, his pictures tend to lean towards those of the sky. This leads me to the other photographer I chose, Hussain Shah.
Some of his work -

His work, although not HDR really incorporates alot of elements with the sky and buildings. He also plays with architecture a little.
I find it amazing how these guys can get such amazing color and contrast in their photographs.
As you can probably guess, for my final project I want to expand on HDR photography. I want to do this not only because I find the HDR technique to be really cool and intriguing but because I think there is just so much that is possible with this photography. The old thought process of adjusting the camera for the right exposure is completely revolutionized and you don't have to do anything because with HDR, you can get a bright building and a bright sun at the same time. For the final project, I want to get some cool, colorful, contrastfull, HDR shots of items against a really bright and colorful sky.

After A class discussion and getting feedback about my ideas i think i would like to change the way I want to do this project. I think it would be nice to do a Study of Movement. I was thinking of maybe some photographs with cars and bicycles. I was going to use movement to work with light painting and see what i come up with.
