I chose this picture because of the story behind the picture just fascinated me. The car in the middle draws your attention right to the middle creating an eerie sort of feeling. Then when you glance to the right you see a little girl holding a zebra. The whole set up of the picture has a mysterious feeling to it, which keeps the viewer wondering. It also follows various elements of design. Such as the rule of thirds, with the black side the car and the little girl. Also the contrast in colors with the black and white and no other colors makes the picture stunning. There is also a strong sense of depth of field with the lights and the car making it seem as if the car was coming right out of the picture. There is a type of rhythm in this picture its more of an erie and sad one.

This picture struck me because the colors of course. The colors are so defined and are so contrasted against the blurred background. Also the water drop draws your attention away from the color of the flower and gives it just an interesting picture in itself. Also the way the flower is pointed pulls your eye off the page. The yellow and the pink the in flower complement each other. The direction in this picture is very clear with the flower pointing to one side, and everything else blurred out.
