A Network for Student Photographers

This is another example of lighting being very important in skateboard and basically any action shot. The time of day disables you from using a fast shutter speed to capture the moment in time perfectly without making it too dark. On-camera flashes, however, create a bright, pale subject with no shadows visible. THe side strobe light which this photographer used, makes the shadows show up much more clearly. Shadows add to the composition and with a bit of photoshop can really create an interesting photograph; like this one.
