I found this photo very interesting. A wonderful tribute to summer - to all the wonder, glory and fun - all in my favorite color green. I loved the dominance of that particular yellow-green color, on the precipice between a cold and warm color, it seemed to go well with the whole theme of the transition to the cold, but more structured life of school and the warm, spontaneous summer life. There's also this delicate balance in the image because of the emphasis on the girl walking by. She's in the foreground which gives her focus, and the also divides the picture up at the one-third line, between the building and the people. As she's looking to the right, it guides the readers to the other beach-goers on the right, allowing one to get the full scope of the image.
But possibly the one thing that really caught my eye was, well the green, but also the glow in the image. The kind of haunting glare of the summer. It's almost over-exposed. The contrast really is captivating and it really gives the image this sort of other-worldy quality which I really appreciate.
