This photo caught my attention very quickly when i searched "beach" on flickr. It stands out to me for several different reasons. The most obvious reason this photo stands out to me is the beautiful symmetry. The houses, stairs, beach, sky and lawn are perfectly reflected on the waterfront creating a balanced and symmetrical composition. I also really like all the angles in this photo. The garbage dam creates a nice angle as it directs into the beach and then the stairs create another great angle directing into the beach. I really like the bright colors of the houses against the white sky because it creates a nice contrast. The depth of field in this photo is perfect, everything is in focus making a very strong image. Back the reflection, i also want to point out how it is a duller image of everything above the water which makes everything on land stand out ten times more. The title of the photo "Life's a Beach!" ties everything together and gives meaning to the photo.
